So instead of arriving middle of September, I shall, with my three assistants, come to Nicosia only end of October. I hope that will not cause inconvenience to you. Our main work will therefore be during November.
I would be grateful if you could arrange that the customs at Limassol on Sept. 13th, on arrival of S/S Corinthia, receive a trunk of mine conveyed by M. Pironin which contains the sherds of bâtiment 18 returned from loan. At this occasion, I would be glad also if you could have handed over to Pironin some 25 or 30 of the small pick-axes I had ordered, or even better as many old ones in good condition which he would bring over to Beyrouth without having trouble at the customs. The ones I had made in Syria before & since the war are less robust and I prefere the Cypriote made axes. To replace the exported ones,
