I would like to make you this proposal to help to clear up the problem concerning the date of construction of the two ashlar buildings excavated by your departement under Dik. and by me in 1949-50, for this is the crux of the whole matter: I invite you & Dikaios dur. my season this year to come watching the opening of some of the spared original floors of my building 18 and or new ones I hope to find, in order to see what pottery & other datable remains they contain. In exchange I am anxious to be present at the opening of some of the intact floors I of your building what could be done in a day or two at the occasion of my presence at Enkomi this fall. If your funds for excavations in 1952 should be exhausted, I would be glad to put at your & Dik.' disposal my workmen for these soundings. I very much
