Dear Mr. Megaw, Thank you for your letters of May 19th & 27th. I am grateful for your permission to exhibit the bowl from Enkomi after its sojourn in London at the Louvre. The Director of the French National Museums is accepting the proposal with pleasure. I suggest the months Nov. & December for the exhibition so that on my return from the N. E. middle of Dec. I can study the original & return it by the Brit. Embassy to London for despatch to you. Would you please write an official letter to the Paris Embassy asking them after arrival there, the cup should be delivered to the Louvre authorities, either to the Director M. Salles or to the responsible curator M. Parrot. (tel. Opéra 82.10). They would of course collect the parcel at the Embassy for conveyance to the Louvre, if that is desired. Please tell the Embassy also, that after the Louvre exhibition, I shall myself return the cup to the Embassy for despatch to London. I inform Arkeusle of course. I now see that there is no time to send
