Nicosia, 7th February, 1952.

Dear Dr. Schaeffer,

I enclose a letter addressed to you by the Colonial Secretary in which he signifies his approval of the arrangements set out in the memorandum regarding the termination of the Enkomi Joint-Expedition at the end of next year. I presume that in acknowledging this you will confirm that these arrangements are acceptable to the French Mission. That done I think there is no more for me to do at present except to lose no opportunity of speeding-up the work that remains for us to do.

I look forward to news of the issue of your volume. The news of the fine quality of the silver bowl seems to be spreading- and I know of several people who look forward to seeing it when it is put on show in the British Museum.

Yours sincerely,
