Dear Megaw,
I still await your answer on my letters of June 20 and 26 and hope it will arrive soon.
I get an astonishing news frm the British Embassy here. The bowl is still there.... They say there was no opportunity to get the parcel over sooner. I brought it to the Embassy exactly a year ago. I know the diplomats are going slow. But in that case I think they broke the record.
Well, M. Spring informs me that the bowl will be by the end of this week in London and would have to be called for by the British Museum in the inward bagroom at the Foreign Office.
I have written immediately to Kendrick to have it fetched and send you a copie letter of my letter.
I wonder if the bowl has not been injured by the long being hidden in a box without treatment. Well never again apply to the British Embassy.
Yours sincerely
