Le Castel Blanc, 14 Rue Turgot, St.Germain-en-Laye, ( Seine et Oise ) 18th March 1950.

Dear Megaw,

Many thanks for your letter of 18th February. I suppose Forrer has now left Nicosia and hope that what I sent you for him was sufficient.

Enkomi I. I am looking very much forward to Dikaios' contribution and especially to what he has to say about the statue. I am sure he is working hard but I still would like to ask him to make utmost speed , since the printing during the spring will proceed much quicker than later on. I would ask him to send all the manuscript in two copies in two separate enveloppes.

Have you fixed the time of his next season at Enkomi? I myself think of coming over probably as early as september and it would be a good thing if Dikaios had finished his work there so that the princely accommodations are available to us. I think he intended to dig at the end of the spring season and before the beginning of the great heat.

I expect to hear soon from you about the bronze bowl from T. 2. I am glad about the rents coming in from the land bought at Enkomi. I thank you also for the communiqué.

My credit for 1950 is ready but not yet transferred to my bank in Famagusta, but I hope to be able to send you my share for the land acquisitions soon.

Please give all my regards to Mrs. Megaw, and my souvenirs to Dikaios.

Yours sincerely,
