My dear Dr. Westholm,
I thank you for sending the offprint of your study on the tombs of Milia. I shall have the opportunity to cite this study when I take up again certain Cypriot finds that I had not been able to publish in my work Missions en Chypre. I hope that my publisher has sent you a volume of the Missions as I had instructed him to do, since the volume came out during my absence in Syria. If not, please let me know.
I have just returned from my lle campaign of excavations at Ras Shamra, which was very fruitful. We also found new Cypriot materials.
I am at present writing a study of a Mycenaean or Cypro-Mycenaean krater from Ras Shamra which shows the well-known chariot scene. But it is combined here with other scenes that I wish to explain. I need to compare this krater with those that Gjerstad and you found at Enkomi and published in Swedish Cyprus Expedition, vol. I. Certain details that interest me are not very visible in the reproductions given. Could you send me photographs of the following craters reproduced on pl. CXXI, Nr. E 3.261, E 3.163, E 11.33 and pl. CXX, Nr. E 3.258 and E 17.1. I will return these photographs to you if you cannot spare them permanently.
I take this opportunity to tell you that I intend
