as we have not yet reached the levels of the XIV century we have not yet been able to observe from the point stratigraphic point of view the effects of this shock. The Photographs that I present on this subject ( fig [handwritten: 11 and 12] are of particular interest: the first shows two large ashlar( [handwritten: fig 11] ) split from top to bottom. The second shows a large block superimposed on aanother thrown out of its bed by the shock(fig [handwritten: 12] ).
Such are in their broad lines, the results of our first campaign of excavations at Enkomi. As regards the concerns our most xxxxxxxx important find, the bronze statue, it seems that it should bring new data on the statuary of the high period both byits art and by its unusual size.It represents a God standing with a headdress of animal skin decorated with horns of bull. The attitude is eeeeeeee frontal although the left leg is slightly advanced; the left arm is folded across the chest while the right arm is bent at the elbow and the forearm and the hand with fingers extended and joined, the palm turned towards the earth, advances in a gesture which seems to indicate dominion and the divine will. The body is clad in a loincloth edged withfringes and held at the waist by a thick belt.
