Dear friend,

Here is my communication to the Academy and the plates, plans etc which will follow. I hope it is not too long but I had to try to keep to the minimum of details. I thank you in advance for having the kindness to read it on my behalf.

Mr Megaw has already written to you, I see, that I may perhaps not be ready for the date proposed by you for the preparation of my contribution to Enkomi I. I would like you to give me a little more time so that I can study the chariots and the tombeilles, at least in a provisional way. If I return to the area in April-May, I shall be too busy.

Respects to Mrs and Miss Schaeffer.

Cordially yours.
