My thanks are also due to my Assistants George Anastasiou, Nakoullis Georgiou and Elias Markou, who persevered the strenuous days of the winter season and the nuisance of the midges in the spring. Mr. Georgiou did all the photographic work, both on the site and in the Cyprus Museum where he prepared all the photographs of the finds for this report. To the other staff of the Museum, who worked under pressure to clean and mend the pottery in the short time available, I also owe special thanks, and particularly to Mr. I. Nicolaou and Chr. Pierakeva (1). Thanks are also due to the three Fathers of the Monastery of Apostolos Varnavas who gave me hospitality during the two seasons and to Mr. Theophilus Mogabgab, M.E.B., Antiquities Officer at Famagusta who helped our work in more ways than one.

(1). Among other members of the staff who gave help in the preparation of this report I wish to thank Miss A. Paschalidou and Mr. D. Daniel.
