The ceramic evidence from room XIV thus shows three stages. The first or earliest (floor V) is marked by the occurrence of Mycenean IIIC: 1 b pottery and some Levanto-Mycenean (III B) fragments. In the second stage (floors IV-II) the Mycenean IIIC: 1 continue but the decorated LCIII ware predominates, reaching its maximum on floor II, i.e. that of the destruction. The third or last stage is not well represented because the room was abandoned after the destruction. The white slip and painted wheel-made sherds must be regarded as instrusive. Room XIII (Pl.XXX-XXXVI). / The section thus named is the southern half of the central unit of the Main Building with the exception of the most southerly part (IX and X), from which at the time of the subdivision on floor V following the conflagration it was separated by partition walls.

As in the preceding room we have a succession of five floors I-V, of which floor IV may be regarded as an earlier stage of floor III which seems to have been in use for a relatively long period.
