7.Paving of round pebbles serving as foundation for this floor. 1.05 to 1.10m.

8.Very hard white floor (Floor III), corresponding to the lower floor of the southern half. 1.10 to 1.20m.

9.Compact brown earth, with Middle Bronze final pottery (Pt. 19). 1.20 to 1.50m.

10.Sterile red clay, virgin soil. 1.50m.

In the layer of compact brown earth (layer 9), four holes filled with pebbles and soft earth appeared at about 1.30m depth, probably post-holes; three of them are 30 cm. deep and 30 cm. in diameter. The fourth, larger, contains pebbles and Middle Bronze sherds over 30 cm. in diameter, with around it a ring of white plaster, which brings the diameter to 50 cm.; the bottom of this hole was reached at 2.20m, i.e. 70 cm. below the level of the virgin soil; this is composed first of red clay from decomposition then of limestone.

< 2/ The cella of the public building.

Allowing for the thickness of the walls, its internal dimensions are approximately 9m. East-West by 14 m. North-South. One enters it by a raised threshold, in which two symmetrical notches mark the place of vanished architectural elements. The North-West angle is fairly well preserved, but the other three angles have disappeared; the lower course of the walls is still in place, except the southern half of the back wall, which is now represented only by the foundation trench.

The middle part of this hall is occupied by a row of large slabs, oriented North-South, at 1.05 m. depth (Pt. 75). On the central slab is set a square base of 1.10m side, to the East of which is inserted a perforated stone, which may have served as the base for a post or a statue; the base or podium suggests a kind of altar.

In this eastern hall of the large building, the stratigraphy can be summarised in seven layers:
