Wednesday 19 November 1969Last closing work on the area south, where two women clean the sherds and the floors, then empty the grid, after selecting the few fragments interesting, (of tablets ?) not yet set aside. Fruitful visit to the North areas, where the trench supervised by Stewart Swiny recalls for me exactly the 1966 excavation of the "Maison au couteau", quarter 6 W, south of Building 18. One sees there the same structures in pisé and mud brick on stone bases, with one or several courses. — Catherine Christophi continues the excavation of the tomb lying under the 3rd street, whose stratigraphy is being studied by S. Swiny.
