Saturday 15 November 1969Half-day of work. The excavations continue in the same trenches as the day before. No finds to report before closing for the workmen's pay. Visit of the Ambassador of Greece and of Mr K. Hadjioannou. With J-P. Nicolardot and L. Bessière, I go up to the summit of the Troodos, where we spend the night, before touring the south slopes of the massif, as far as Kouklia ancient Paphos, where we arrive shortly after noon. Visit of the sites around the village in the course of the afternoon, then return to Enkomi via Limassol and Larnaca, Famagusta.
