In quarter 5 E opening of a new (third) trench, running from the 4th street to the excavations of 1949, that is the new sectors 201 to 207 E, the second trench being completed.

Sector 19 E [ 3 E ], we uncovered a gutter, stone channel or gargoyle, leading into the sump situated under the slab of a squat latrine, corresponding to the fine thick floor linking all the remains of walls in ashlar stones the whole now well dated by the krater 1595 of evolved late style (judging from the concentric semicircles figuring among the motifs of the linear decoration). We are tempted to attribute the number " IV " to this vast white floor, covered by a layer of fine grey ash, the floor " V " lying in situ below and dated by its pointed-base jugs 1606.
