Friday 4 November 1966In sector 208, very remarkable wall aligned N-S, built of mudbricks faites of dark brownish konnos, the binding between the bricks (average dimensions 42 x 10 à 12 cm) being made of particles with a whitish lime base: the contrast effect is thus very great between the dark brown of the bricks and the white of the horizontal and vertical interstices. We succeeded in clearing the occidental face of this wall over a length of 2,60 m, and over a height of 0 m 80, corresponding to 7 courses of bricks (cf. photos Mrs Forrer, taken in the light of end of day). To the west of this wall of unpublished type, one reaches a layer of ash grey, with sherds of wavy line bowls, 1491, at the top of an impressive sequence stratified of layers of grey ash of earlier phases (section preserved).
