Monday 26 September 1966 to SANTORINI
In the morning, endless negotiations to find a solution allowing me to go to the site of the excavations directed by MM. Fouqué, Gorceix and Mamet in the XIXe c. With no hope of success for Acrotiri and Kimina, I nevertheless manage to find the owner of the caïque serving the island of Thérasia on an irregular basis (it is the Agia Trias). After lunch, descent to Santorini-Ville to take the caïque bound for the island of THERASIA (north site of RIVA plus accessible and less distant than the other to the south, of KIMINA). After unloading its goods and a few locals at the port of Manolas, the caïque takes me to the bay of Riva, rounding the capes Simantiri and Tino It was in this bay that the Americans have begun their recent research.
