Friday 4 November 1966In sector 208, very remarkable wall aligned N-S, built of mud bricks made of dark brownish konnos, the binder between the bricks (average dimensions 42 x 10 to 12 cm) being made of particles based on whitish lime: the contrast effect is thus very great between the dark brown of the bricks and the white of the horizontal and vertical interstices. We succeeded in clearing the western face of this wall over a length of 2,60 m, and over a height of 0 m 80, corresponding to 7 courses of bricks (cf. photos Mrs Forrer, taken in the light of end of day). To the west of this wall of unpublished type, a layer of grey ash is reached with sherds of wavy line bowls, 1491, at the top of an impressive stratified series of grey ash layers of earlier phases (baulk preserved).
