Bringing to light of Floor V, in the "burial" sounding: at the very foot of the western facing of the wall -N-S with a superstructure of brown mud brick (eight courses separated by whitish bonding), a small rectangular sounding carried out the afternoon of the last day of the research in Area 6 W, allowed us to make the following two observations: 1o/ the foundations of the N-S wall do not go down any deeper than the level of floor IV, mentioned on the previous page. These stone foundations rest on a layer of brown-red colour with whitish grains, itself covering the floor V, strewn with ashy debris, here thin Floor V lies 20/25 cm below floor IV, stripped over a large area, to the south of the cut made by the construction of the individual inhumation burial, dating from Cypriot Iron I (period of floor IV, or of floor III). = sketch, next p. longrightarrow
