Maître et cher Monsieur,

At the beginning of our third week of research I write to confirm the good progress of the work. On the archaeological side Jacques Lagarce has reported to you on the discoveries of pottery and bronze. As regards the drawings, we are completing those of the built tombs and this will form a set of plates which illustratetwo "tholos" tombs and four tombs in ashlar with corbelling. We are endeavouring to recover the remains of the habitations connected with these tombs, but the state of destruction often allows only hypothetical solutions. We are supplementing the drawings with a photographic record. In this connection, would it be possible for you to send us, through the intermediary of Mr Courtois, a wide-angle lens for the mission's Exakta Varex II b.
