Friday 18 October 1963The day is devoted to the cleaning of the walls of the Sanctuary, in which two new transverse N-S walls have been clearly brought to light, the thicker and more important one, between the two altars and covered, in the south part of the Hall by successive hearths [911] surrounded by potsherds; the other wall, in small rubble, narrower, also oriented N-S, is limited to the portion north of the Hall, and under the main floor II of the latter. This earlier wall marks on the other hand the separation, until then unclear, between the West part of the subsoil of the Hall, with a thick layer of ash, and the East part, where this layer does not exist and where floor III rests directly on the rock.
