There probably existed no regime government, during which the ruin had succeeded in prevailing since the end of the 14th c. and during the 13th c., was surpassed by an egg, probably of the same origin. Subsequently, the pottery and the jewellery, as well as two traditions Coexisted, indicate their Achaean dependence.
The Mycenaean penetration in Sicily of Cyprus, (we know mainnow that these two three are interdependent at Enkomi) has therefore passed through three phases.
The first essentially commercial, judging by the volume of the imported pottery at Enkomi, began as early as the second halfdu XVIe siècle, et couvre la majeure partie du XIVe.
Holding the second phase, which begins as early as the end of the 14th c. and covers almost all of the 13th c., and which is characterised from the point of view of sternological by the locally made Mycenaean pottery, chiefs of the sanctuhave united power over the east coast of Cyprus and in its capital Enkomi, where they had built the rectangular palace during non-recent qualities.
We thus recognise the ancient phase of the Mycenaean settlement on the island, but we have long doubted it, and which is still disputed by certain authors.
It went to the reconquest of the importance that the Hittite kings, from the end of the 14th c., more precisely from Tvarail II, attacked an alliance with this maritime power which was then beginning to settle in the islands, and perhaps linked to the fertile acts partlyof the Amorite sphere of influence.
It perhaps gave war, one thought, that the war of Troy, an Achaean undertaking as tradition has it, has had to constitute the first beginning of this Mycenaean expansion of the end of the 14th c.
