gold diadem(?) scalloped edges and perforations for fastening as on M 308 (see card), the preserved perforation of 311 being a little smaller than those of 308; delicately drawn repousse ornament: in the center a palmette, from the base of which undulates toward either end a stem composed of 4 or 5 lines together, from which sprout at intervals leaves, buds, and tendrils; note that the triangle from the perforation is bent outward on the relief side of the repousse one end torn out at the hole, and some other small tears from the sides; somewhat crumpled PL 0.165 gtest W 0.026

bronze spatula some moulding on shaft next blade; as found, the shaft bent upward fairly abruptly ca. .02 from the blade and then curved gently back- perhaps intentional to facilitate the use of instrument in spreading broken in two at point of most abrupt bend (by VG on dig); otherwise seems comparatively solid, though shows disease on section in break L of 2 pieces 0.193 gtest W of blade 0.013 gtest T of shaft 0.006
