P 1648 continued V.G. notes as follows: the parallel for St. Hermogenes Tomb 8, No. 27 (P1648) is Agora (Athens) P. 1114 from Section ST, cistern in 45/ ? bottom of chamber. he finer ob jects from this deposit have been published as Homer Thomson's Hellenistic group B (In Hesperia 1934, Two Cent. of Hel. Pottery') of the 1st half of the 3rd Century B.C. or a Rhodian & Knidian stamped stamped amuhora from the bottom of the same chamber, see Hesperia 1934, p. 202, fig. 1, No.s 5&6. the objects from the bottom have been attributed to date nearer 300 B.C. than 250. Tomb 8, No. 27 looks slightly more developed than Agora P 1114 so may be a little later but still certainly 3rd Century.
