bronze fitting

a boss repoussé surrounded by a narrow border perforated in such a way as to form a series of short flaring projections; on the concave side, grooves surround a small central projection from turning possibly the stump of a pin shaft; on the convex side, removal of soft whitish substance (bronze \yes disease?) at the center leaves a tiny pit

when removed from the earth, a little over half the border was preserved; since then, two of the projections which were bent down have been broken off
