Fragment of White Marble

PL 0.137 PW 0.08 Th 0.02

Broken on two adjoining sides of rectangle. A corner piece.

Outer edges beveled in back for setting into mortar, some of which still adheres. Front, smoothly finished, preserves sections of two marginal grooves set in 0.035 and 0.055 from edges respectively. Workmanship of grooves is careless, since they run past point where they meet other marginal grooves at right angles.
