Photograph

Incomplete, misses base entirely and about one third of wall showing complete profile to rim and one handle. Small chips. Clay cinnamon colored and gritty, with large pochos. Perhaps over fired. Covered with a slip now darkish grey brown, which has peeled or chipped off in spots but still shows some signs of burnishing. Inside surface worse worn than outside. Low ring base, slightly concave and with wheel marks underneath, set off sharply from floor which rises gently to generally vertical wall fleaving noticeably at top. Rim plain. On outside 3 shallow grooves just under rim. Horizontal roll handle lifted and snuggling close to wall, but join with wall abrupt with little smoothing.
