P 2096 | 1446 | Large Wide-Mouthed Amphora | H | D | WP IV Not mended, because heavy but crumbly nature of the clay prevents gluing. Pieces missing from rim, neck, body, and base. Clay pink-beige, very soft, and with large bits of reddish foreign matter. Rim narrow and squarely everted; neck wide, short and cylindrical; body probably ovoid; base a sturdy ring. Two vertical ribbon handles from rim to upper shoulder. Smudged dusty black matt paint in zig-zags down handles, bands around rim, above and below neck zone and in group of four bands on body. Neck zone divided into metopes by outlined panels of hatched lozenges and groups of lines which are solid triangles at base and "trees" at the tops.
