P2896 B 539 LC III Dec. bowl

Wheelmade Complete, intact but for minor chips in rim. Clay fired buff to pinkish buff and light green on exterior. Interior partical only well smoothed and possibly treated in some way; it is not absolutely certain that there is a slip but the effect is creamier and more luxurious than the exterior, almost suggesting Levanto-Mycenaean. Some pits and pooh marks. Paint matt orange brown to red brown. Paint on rim. Two narrow rings about 2/3 down inside with another ring encircling closed spiral design on floor wide stripe about halfway down outside.
