Contrary to Daniel, it is in my opinion quite moist vases which show a greenish white fired surface a slip, perhaps a wet-slip has, been applied. [The burning, at least true reducing, took place after a resist firing. Then application of slip, its drying, application of painted decoration /then second firing? I suppose/ -is possible, not certainly, not probably, but the two firing mentioned above did not take place]. The vessel was probably shipped] There are spots on the shoulder stripes where the slip has smeared up onto the paint. Moreover, it flakes slightly over spots. See P1284
