81: Trench 7, O - P = Section 5 PLANS pp 7, 17. STRATIFICATION: This region, the track of the stadium, reveals little of interest. Bedrock appears on the surface in E and O. Stratum 1: Black surface earth, of varying depth as shown in plan (p. 17). STRATUm 2: The strata labelled "2" here refer to various types of soil, any found directly below bedrock the black surface soil. It represents almost without exception, however the bright red earth and stones which fell in the hollows of the rock, perhaps in some cases purposely so placed but in general merely rotted rock. Between N and P, however, as in 2, this stratum is the xafkára chip + red earth fill which is found near the seats.

Pencil note(?): It was apparently here the host levelling

strum 3 in agora. Section P is under.

Finds, pottery, etc. STRATUM 1: Mi 346 (glass rim)

STRATUM 2: Sh 1267 (RIM); T2503 (figure)
