Room P. Upper pres. courses of large blocks is later than base of wall. Tiles have been used to chink up.
Room S. of Triclinium. frag of mosaic w. Pax temerar. Wall to S. of this goes deep, and had opening - blocked at higher level, perhaps at time of mosaic. The constr of this wall, entirely of good size, well laid blocks, liberally mortared suggests it is continu. of w. wall for Exedra to S. of E. corridor.

Later version of same, not so well done, with frags. of tile, sometimes (prob. quite late) with flat, round beach pebbles for chinking. Called ARCT, special note if pebbles. 3. Visible wall constr: orthostates with binders running thru: This occurs on top of ARC (drawing) but not above ARCT. 4. Heavy, uncoursed ashlar: with liberal use of white-gray mortar usually quite hard. 5. Rubble, with or without tile.
