Finished removing Grid A-y north 12-16 strat 1, @ consisting of ploughed up silt. See Section p. 1425. Digging Grid A-Z, north 2-6, strat 1 to depth of 1 meter.

Digging Grid A-Z, South 2-6, surface soil to depth of 1.00 m. Removing H-I north 8-12 strat 1, @ see section p. 419. Removing Grid E-H, (area round well) north 18-20, strat 4 sand & winter washing of gravel. Finished removing Grid G - E north 18-20 strat 3@ (Section p. 1405-3a) strata above. 3a have removed during previous years. 3@ consisted of earth & some small rough stones - cont. p.
