2615-2] loose brown soil with few stones - rough ones only - averaging about fist size - none as large as foot in size. about 1/3 bucket sherds - 3 small tile frags which I have thrown out. 1 sq. lamp frag F 1968. All this apparently - no debris.
4 January'52 4 5 men Removed S. of S. Bldg. 00 - 2.90 m 00 - 1.50 m E. of W. face of W. wall of room 4, 2947-2 much the same as 2947-1 I see no real difference. 4 sherds only - no other finds n. of wall and 4 handful of sherds s. of wall and 2 tile frags which I am placing in sherd bag. No other finds. Removed also s of wall in same trench (S. of early wall)
