S.E.Bldg. DIARY 2856 we have clamped to the square block with iron clamps, buried in cement (1:1).

Removed 00 - 0.24 m [margin left: room 2 n. shelf 00 - 0.24 n. of n. jamb of doorway 2855-1] north of n. face of n. lower door jamb of room 2 S.E. Bldg. [2855-1] found a stratum consisting of foundation of north bench of room 2 and possibly bits of wall (e. wall of room). More stones than earth - from fist to bucket size, loose reddish earth. 5 small tile frags which I am throwing out. 5 small sherds souly. 1 ter. pipe frag which I am placing in shed G 2. Small bits of wall plaster F.1903. Removed from here also block of door sill immediately west of n. jamb. To be placed back again in situ.
