W. of Temple A DIARY 16 June '50 2222 room 5 with very few small rough stones all fill immediately under what appears to have been a floor level. about 1/10 bucket of sherds 2223-2 no tiles. Removed also 2223-2. dito, reddish soil but with more F 1350 rough stones averaging about fist size. 1 drs. to brute, 1/10 All fill bucket sherds. No tiles. fill. From here came F1350.
Removed along south wall 0-0.35 n of room, 0 - 0.35 n. of s. 3-5.60 east wall, 3.00-5.60 east of 2223-1 west wall also 2223-1 about 1 bucket sherds and about 1/4 " tiles. Reddish soil, fairly compact, few rough small stones. Removed also 2223-2 same area 2223-2 same as 1 bt with more rough stones; 1/4 bucket sherds 3 tile frags, and 5 frags of water pipe. Have placed these together at bottom of trench in line of water pipe line. Have placed tiles from 1 at east end of trench.
Fill over Removed also same room pipe: 2223-1 over pipe line, and tile: 0-0.90 west of east wall
