DIARY points, with wooden posts wedged in between hypocaust floor, and ceiling. 7 men only today (June 20th), including foreman, sherd boy, and guard (Michalis, Stelis, and Costas). The workmen are Mehmet, Athenis, Nicolas, Nicodemos. Have been through all sherds marking on back of tags what proportion of each bag I have thrown out. Have kept everything from cistern and have washed tiles also from cistern. These are now piled up under large carob tree north of South Building. Have checked all coins. None missing save one from sieve F which was found missing from glass in solution of elcalfol, a small coin, which would have been most likely illegible.
