Cistern 3 | Continued digging out cistern, stratum 13.69-8. 1st century A.D. lamp frag. found 0.80 m. from walls. J.F. Rough stones coming out a little smaller. Fewer large ones; darker soil but no change in character.
rooms | Mr. Hills continues to remove debris over floor in south bay of room 3. See his notes and my Film 126-1, 4 and 5.
south of large plunge bath | Continued digging south of large plunge bath as yesterday. Christofis is drawing worked blocks as found.
east precinct walls | Continued removing surface soil between east precinct walls 20-24 m. south. Dark loose soil, few stones, sherds, or tiles.
