April 6'49 Continued removing surface soil Street 1 E0-X, west 0-8. Found coin F534 & F535 here. Debris - small stones, & chips, dark soil - darkened by roots. No large stones as yet removed from this area. Also continuing to clear debris from building Trench 9, V-T, north 8-18. Removing large rough surface blocks to area east of building Removing tiles to same place and stacking them up there. No well worked blocks being removed as yet. Southwest room cleared down to what may have been a late floor - possibly for squatters - cooking pot found on it. See Film 116-29
April 7 Removing debris over Outer Bldg. east end. See Film 116 - 30-33 incl. Worked blocks in debris being removed under direction of Mr. Hill to point 2.60 m east of east wall of bldg. almost on Trench 9 grid line "u". For Trench 9 system see topographicalchart.
