24 April'48 Began removing 2d stratum of Street 1, K-A west 0-8. See Film 105 #18 (colored slide). 1st stratum here removed before war up to 8 west. Continued removing 1st stratum, Trench 9 in same area as yesterday. Continuing cleaning Temple A of growth of grass + cleaning up Sanctuary in general. Joe Last is making catalogue of architectural pieces from Apollo. See Film 106 # 1-21 incl. Removed second stratum of drain p 915-2. Usual accumulation of neglected drain.
