20 27 Nov. Began removing 2d strat Trench 10, A-E east 4-6. This strat, of many stones may well have served as foundation for pavement of the πλατεια. See plan p. 773.
21 Nov. No excavations, on account of steady heavy rain, all morning. Cleared somewhat during afternoon.
22. Removing pots and lamps from Tr 7 E east 0-1 m, on floor level and on paving stone. Draughtsman has made a drawing showing their position in plan. 3 coins came from this level in vicinity F 51, 55, 87, and some lamps were removed yesterday F 88-91 incl. Mr. Hill excavating east and north
