Tomb 1 FINDS cont. It is my belief that these human remains were gathered up and placed in amphora to make room for new burial. At bottom of amphora comes jug no. 16, yet it may not have come into the tomb at same time. Is this a 3rd burial? Hips + pelvis & feet & hands not noted, but may be found when we study remains all of which are being kept. Were the remains gathered & collected & placed into amphora belonging to new or former burial?

P 2228Tomb 1 FINDS cont. 16. Juglet with pinched lip. trefoil low foot not unlike that of amphora from bottom of which it came (no. 15). Black paint on body & foot. Black bands at base of shoulder, at base of neck and on handle. Strap handle from shoulder to rim.
Found inside and at bottom of # 15.
