Am labeling this Bag 2. Bag 1 contains about 3 handfuls of sherdsfrom surface down to bedrock level where rock has not been hewn for tomb. only sherds.

Dromos

Removed from dromos surface down to floor about 2 handfuls of sherds. The soil in dromos consisted of sandy soil, small bits of chavara mixed with some surface soil. Appears to date from last 50 years or so. Not an ancient fill. Very few stones. Undoubtedly some of the fill may be ancient as it is difficult to distinguish between the. fill of an intrusive pit and an ancient fill where the soil is as sandy as it is here.
