The loose stony intrusion (?) -(not entirely clear)- and here clear, and actually the level is just about that of the stamin inside, so he may be right.] clearing of earth to the scarp The fill left in the tomb set down here bottom occupies part of the lower dromos, so we do not have the full width, nor all the SW door chinks. An upright cut stone, and part of another tall one beside it, are visible, with smaller rough stones, below, beside, and above. (<u>Phot.</u>) The rock comes down in a nearly cut face .26 below the top of the short "tunnel". Between it and one of the chinking stones the solid mixed earth fill inside the tomb is visible. (<u>Phot.</u> to show upper part of door, not probably visible in 1st phot., taken rather from above)
The chinks in the opposite door show partial emptiness inside; the roof must have held to some extent. The opening is again closed by 2 upright cut stones, chinked above by small stones, with a couple of fair-sized rough stones in front below.

(Tr. 43 extension) see p. 169 <u>Phot.</u> in upper 19.32 and lower section 19.33, as impossible to get far enough away to take all in one without a wide-angle lens. (I gave at opening way to 6.3: a count of 6 or 7 approximate seconds). To the right of this door rise from the floor two or three rock steps. Above the upper rises our earth scarp; that side end of the dromos prob. not cleared. The upper vertical margin toward Tomb 1 probably still obscured by sample fill left there, as above mentioned. On the other side, the cutting away of the rock sides of the dromos of Tomb 1 (?) on a line with its rock floor carries us up possibly as high as a vertical clearing in earth for the lower dromos might be expected - i.e. the fill above tent, very likely subsequent to cutting of tomb. However, no horizontal change of earth observed either. Further consideration due when these tombs are cleared, at some future date ?
