note. however orientation is the same as the southernmost wall. The NS wall south of southern most ow wall is almost of the same orientation as the westernmost wall of buldin stairs and replaces the southern part. i.e. south of southern most wall of mid NS wall.

96 The stair west of rooms delta and epsilon, mid NS wall i.e. first wall west of west wall of Greek lettered rooms, is part of building ib as shown by it's orientation and the fact that its northern most wall goes under west wall of Greek lettered rooms. This wall may have been used as a stair in second building. The southernmost wall EW wall of this complex is of the period of the palace or big bath. With it goes the outside wall on the edge of the cliff. It cuts the mud NS wall the wide part of the trench being on the north side, the narrow on the south. The type of construction of this wall is similar to that of palace period. As the outside wall nearest cliff must go with this wall, the reconstruction of mid NS wall is probably contemporary with southernmost EW wall for it must have rested on a fill as the upper part porjects over lower. To have rested on a fill there must have been a wall to retain fill, the only readily and visible wall is that of palace period However the style of this outside wall is not that of southern most EW wall, the except in its western most portion beside the western most NS wall.
