57 Lamps in connection with supposed change.

In drain with lion fountain L 1043-5 997-1012. none of these as late as lamps in south or middle cisterns, or Room E or cistern under flagstones.

The fs of lamps that filled in drain Room S are lost, the one fragment found in filled in drain outside L1087, proves nothing, but would seem to be late rather than early, because it is not of the best quality and somewhat elongated.

Lamps found in closing of hole Room O, are not not quite as late as those of smiddle cistern. The handles L 506-7-8-11 are larger taller than the handles of L 517 L959 L 761, L504. None of the designs are really plumed, although L 507 comes near to it. There is nothing here to indicate that this filling is actually as late as that of filling of cellar O. However it must be later than the filling of cellar O, because the filling of cellar O was dumped in through this hole. The filling of this hole resembles the closing over of the flagstones of cellar with flagstones.
