In the bath under mosaic, there is on on the walls, from the inside out, first a layer of grayish plaster between one and one and a half cm thick, This substance is bed Back of this is a white plaster like material with bluish pebbles small pebbles. This bedded in a stone wall. On the outside of the grayish is here and there some white plaster. But this a deposit, a later accidental accretion The floor was made of the same grayish plaster and laid after the wall. On the north side the floor is more bevelled with

This lead lead pipe was cut away on top for about 5 cm on the west side, the lead was bent back against wall. On the east side it was cut away down almost to floor and the open space filled with cement. It is would seem because of the bevel on the north side and the splaying of the pipe westward that the water was expected to drain from NW. This
