Sixth layer all in cutting in bed rock 25 cm deep. Pot in middle etor of this cutting. Another pot in its mouth.
Room E, cleared third layer west of middle wall in northern part. Cleared second layer west of middle in southern part. Cleared. Cleared first layer along northern part of wall of Room. East of Room W finished fifth layer. Cleared first layer East of this trench. Cellar under flagstones arrived in soil with quantity of pots, one whole. work stopped 16:00

East of North Extension of Room N, cleared stones shown p. 52. These stones are all above level of existing walls.
East of hypocaust North of Room L continued cleaning first layer. West of NS wall cleaning second layer.
Room X west section. Cleared three secer second layer on Northern half beside L. R5 This layer very hard Removed third layer. This layer as on south side extends under west wall of room, Fourth layer being removed. This about 10 cm deep.
South Room U + X, east of east of drain. Fifth layer which came about to edge of top of cutting in south side in bed rock and was about 15 cm deep, removed. Under this a thin sixth layer lying directly on bed rock.
