There may have been windows in west and south walls but these cannot have let in much light. And if there were they must have it would seem strange not to balance them with others in the east wall. As the rooms north of large room were probably lavatories it seems unlikely that there were windows in it the north wall. If there were windows in east wall one should have been in original north room and the other in opposite the door in the west wall. Because of position of pilasters and earlier wall it seems unlikely that there were more. That is the distance between the two pilasters and the middle wall is such that it seems improbable that there was a window here. The distance between north side of south pilaster and south side of former wall is 1.5 meters the distance between south side of south pilaster and former wall .4 m. The distance between north pilaster north side and north wall is 3 m. The distance from south side of south pilaster

to south wall is 3.3 meters, In each case In the south part, a window about one meter wide (2?) would leave a distance on either side of about two meters and the south pilaster would be near its north side just as the south pilaster on east wall is near north side of door, The windows must have gone with original division of room into two parts so that the distances from the pilasters are confirmatory not evidence nor a primary source. In the north part where the original distance between walls was 3.5 to 4, one window about one meter 1.2 would seem to be in order. The north pilaster would thus be come just a little south of south side of south window. thereby balancing the window on the south. to door

Note the word pilaster here means the four supporting columns against the walls.

In this connection the windows cannot have been very tall because the et much of the height of the east wall retains the soil in back of it. The windows
