[left margin: R] Room East of Room M south of T continued clearing third layer. D Near the floor and especially against NS there was more earth and not so many stones - a sign that the stones fell there from above toward the East.
Room St cleared second layer, third layer begins, marked by change of soil and is at about the same as third layer in the Room East of Room M south of T. Stones seem thicker in third layer St. More stones and plaster in south half of Room S, leaving middle relatively free. The stones in South of Room S may have been from interior of building whereas those in the North from to exterior, and West of the bath there were relatively few.
Area East of hypocaust and North of Room L, cleared second layer of fill from around large stones. The ostch with the NS axis approximately, may have fallen from hypocaust & that with EW axis from Room L see diagram p. 154. Certainly those north of Room L are smaller in size.
